Plaid Tote Bag

	An old plaid skirt and a faux suede skirt.
	Pink lining cloth and a fusible interlinings. This is a hard type fusible interlinings for bag making.
	Print patterns from my HP. Front pattern is separated into two parts since A4 paper is too small for the pattern. Print two copies each of the front patterns.
	Cut them on the outlines.
	Join the upper portion to the bottom portion with Scotch tape. Join the left portion to the right portion.
	Cut the fusible interlinings with seam allowances. Iron the fusible interlinings to the wrong side of garment fabrics. If you plan to use a plaid fabric, you will need pattern matching.
	Mark the handle positions on the front with a cotton basting thread.
	Cut two of the interlinings, cut two of the facings and a pocket.
	Darts.
	Pin the darts. Sew the darts.
Don't forget backstitching at all beginning and all end.
	Back view.
	Lay the pocket fabrics right side together, Make a pocket leaving a opening.
	Turn to right. Top stitch 1 inch along the top edge of the pocket.
	Pin the interlinings and the facings. And stitch.
For your safety, you should remove pins just before stitching reaches them.
	Position and stitch the pocket into place
	Lay the interlinings right side facing, Sew the seam allowance leaving a opening 15cm.
	Fold all edges of handle pieces and iron. Fold it again in half
	Pin it and stitch around the edges.
	Chalk mark the stitching lines.
	Position the handles and stitch them.
	Lay the outer bags right side facing, sew the side lines and the bottom.
	Insert the outer bag to the lining bag right side facing.
	Pin and sew all around the top edge of the bag.
	Turn to right.
	Pin the openings shut and hand stitch them.
	Put the inner bag to the outer bag. Top stitch all around the edge.
	Finish !
